The US Patent Office awarded Documentary Security Systems (DSS) two new US patents. The first of the US patents is called "AuthentiGuard Veriglow" and the second of the US patents is called "AuthentiGuard Survivor 21 TM". These US patents gives authenticity to and verifies the same for documents.
The first of the US patents is used to authenticate vital documents such as passports, drug packaging, important documents etc. This patent uses forensic technology to give authenticity to the document. It is also not possible for a counterfeiter to duplicate and fraudulently use this technology.
The other US patent that is being marketed, verifies whether a scanned document is authentic or not, by scrutinizing its digital image. On verifying a document containing this technology a hidden image is visible on the digitally imaged document, to prove that it is original.

Nexxus Lighting Inc. announced on Wednesday, 20th July that it has become the recipient of two new utility patents from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Along with these utility patents, Nexxus has also been given the registered trademark for its own Array® brand. The two utility patents include U.S. Patent Number 7,974,099 and Number 7,960,921; the former being "APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR THERMAL MANAGEMENT OF LIGHT EMITTING DIODES" and the latter "CURRENT REGULATOR APPARATUS AND DEVICES". CEO and President of Nexxus Lighting, Mike Bauer stated that the company was honoured to receive the utility patents and it was a result of all the hardwork put in by the employees. He said that along with the utility patents, the registration of the Array® trademark was also very gratifying.

A company named Document Security Systems Inc. announced that U.S. Patent Office has given two new patents to the company. The first new U.S. patent named AuthentiGuard VeriGlow is being promoted to governments and pharmaceutical companies. This U.S Patent is used for the authentication of important documents like passports, pharmaceutical packaging, labels, vital records and currency.
The other new U.S. patent, named AuthentiGuard Survivor 21(TM) is a technology utilized to show genuineness of checks, car titles, medical records, and other documents under scanning. According to a MDB Capital Group analysis, In 2010, DSS's, patent portfolio was ranked as 90th percentile of 1,600 small cap companies with U.S. Patent. This analytic is based on Patent Vest, which was developed by MDB's proprietary intellectual property intelligence program.
